WHY FLOSSING IS IMPORTANT?
Flossing play a very important role in dental health .It is design to clean area in between the teeth Tooth brushing clean the top and outer surfaces of the teeth. Brushing alone will not remove the food particles ,debris and plaque form in between the teeth .
STEPS FOR FLOSSING
1-Take a piece of floss about 18 to 24 inches at least as long as your arm
2-Wind each end of your floss around your middle fingers
3-Grasp 1-3 inches of floss with index finger and thumb
4-Angle floss and slide it between your teeth in C shape
5-Glide floss up and down along the tooth
6-Move to new section of floss for each tooth
7- Make sure you clean your teeth in one direction e.g if you start from upper left molar you have to finish at lower left molar
Incorrect flossing can damage your gums.so correct way of flossing is very important.
